Troubleshooting
Problem
Every few minutes you are seeing messages in the ADHLOG log "ADHGSTRS-- Sending ADH_AUDIT_EVENT_STATEMENT_TXT_TRUNCATED".
Cause
APAR PH26359 has been opened to address this issue.
Environment
This problem has been seen after applying UI66121 for Guardium zOS S-TAP v 10.1.3.
Diagnosing The Problem
The messages "ADHGSTRS-- Sending ADH_AUDIT_EVENT_STATEMENT_TXT_TRUNCATED" are informative. They indicate that the S-TAP collected some long SQL statements, and the long statement texts have been truncated before being sent to the appliance. As a result, the statements will be truncated in the Guardium UI report. Other than that, these messages do not cause any problem. Statement text is truncated if it is:
• Dynamic SQL text more than 2 million bytes
or
• Static SQL text more than to 4000 bytes
or
• Static SQL text more than to 4000 bytes
Resolving The Problem
To turn off this message, you can set message log level to W (warnings and higher). Note: this will also turn off other informational messages.
The syntax is: MESSAGE_LOG_LEVEL(W).

After making the parameter change in the configuration file for each S-TAP collector task and restarting all of the tasks, you should no longer see these messages.
