Problem
This technote identifies an error, []cleartool: Error: Activity "(dbid)378" included in baseline "postdelbl@\ancestorPvob" cannot be found. cleartool: Error: Unable to get activity diffs[], that can occur when trying to diff two IBM Rational ClearCase (CC) UCM baselines.
Symptom
When trying to diff two baselines, the following error occurs:
cleartool: Error: Activity "(dbid)378" included in baseline "postdelbl@\ancestorPvob" cannot be found.
cleartool: Error: Unable to get activity diffs.
Diffbl is failing on baselines referencing deleted Activities.
Example:
M:\main1\ancestorPvob>cleartool diffbl baseline:postdelbl@\ancestorPvob baseline:afterdelbl@\ancestorPvob
Comparing the following:
postdelbl@\ancestorPvob
afterdelbl@\ancestorPvob
Differences:
cleartool: Error: Activity "(dbid)378" included in baseline "postdelbl@\ancestorPvob" cannot be found.
cleartool: Error: Unable to get activity diffs.
