Error description
AIX Live Kernel Update (LKU) or DLPAR attempts may fail due to the IBM.HostRM subsystem being unable to handle incoming signals while busy with other activity. On the HMC, this will result in errors similar to this: | HSCL294F The dynamic removal of processing resources | failed: The operation to remove processing has failed | on partition <partition ID>. | The OS standard output/error is not available. | The nested exception message is: | 2610-652 The command execution has exceeded the | allowable time limit (X seconds) has been exceeded.
Local fix
As this is a timing issue, re-attempting LKU/DLPAR may result in success the next time.
