Error description

• Optim UPDATE process fails with the message: "Source Column for
  Destination Column in Table cid.tbl is not in
  Archive/Extract File".

Problem summary

  *                 targeting a DB2 table containing a ROWID     *
  *                 Column.                                      *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If the destination table contains a     *
  *                      ROWID column the Optim process may end  *
  *                      with the message:                       *
  *                      "Source Column for Destination Column   *
  *                      in Table cid.tbl is Not in              *
  *                      Archive/Extract File".                  *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided fix                       *

  ptim was not properly handling the scenario where a destination
  table possibly containing a ROWID column or one which DB2
  itself provides a value for was not present in the
  source table.
  

Problem conclusion

• Optim processing will be modified to properly process such
  scenarios as well as others using DB2 column types whose values
  are assigned by DB2.
