After upgrading a DB2 Content Store database, Cognos Analytics is unable to start

Troubleshooting


Problem

After upgrading a DB2 Content Store database from version 11.1 M4 FP4 iFix1 to version 11.1 M4 FP5, the Content Store connection test fails from Cognos Configuration with the following error message:
[Content Manager database connection]
[ ERROR ] The database connection failed.
[ ERROR ] Content Manager encountered an error while trying to verify the database configuration.
When you try to start from Cognos Configuration, it fails at the Content Store connection test level with no detailed information.
When you try to start the service using the cogconfig.bat script with the -notest option :
cogconfig.bat -notest
you get the following error message in the cognosserver.log file :

Initialization_SESS Initialization_REQ__ CM 6424 StartService CM-CFG-5063 A Content Manager configuration error was detected while connecting to the content store.  CM-CFG-5029 Content Manager is unable to determine whether the content store is initialized. Cause: Routine "SYSIBM.SQLTABLES" (specific name "TABLES") has returned an error SQLSTATE with diagnostic text "SYSIBM:CLI:-805"..
