Troubleshooting
Problem
Using the Map Test functionality with the Map Editor and receiving a pop up message that the 1.8 java version is missing. There is a 32 bit jre installed though.
Resolving The Problem
If the customer is using the Oracle 1.8 jre than the registry key for Java version needs to be altered to 1.8. The default install of the Map Editor for the 6.0.3.X version is 1.8.0.
The customer can also install the IBM SDK for 1.8 (32bit) and no change in the registry is needed.
The registry path :
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sterling Commerce\STERLING Integrator\Map Editor\8.0.3.0\Java Version
The current Map Editor version as of 02/27/2025 is 8.0.3.0 and as long as you use any 1.8.X version of the 32 bit IBM SDK the Map Test Utility will work in any supported version of Sterling B2B Integrator versions 6.1.X or higher.
