Known issues
There are no known issues.
Known limitations
The silent example file (silent.txt) is the default example file shipped with ITCAM for Transactions v7.4.0.1, hence it contains examples for the CICSTX and MQ Data Collectors. These collectors are not shipped with this MDV (Maintenance Delivery Vehicle).
Installation information
Prior to installation
This MDV contains a regular ITM upgrade package, and utilizes the standard ITM installation methods; including silent install and remote deploy. However, Fixpack 1's APAR only impacted two agents, and only those are included. The agents are:
- Transaction Reporter (TO)
- Transaction Collector (TU)
Installing
On machines where you have Transaction Collector (TU) or Transaction Reporter (TO) agents installed, follow the following instructions:

On Windows systems, extract the files from the archive into a scratch directory. Double-click the WINDOWS\setup.exe command in the extracted files image to run the installer. Follow the prompts to install the update.
On UNIX systems, use the tar -xvf command to extract the installer from the archive into a scratch directory. Then, use the ./install.sh command in the extracted files image to run the installer. Follow the prompts to install the update.
Installing application support for TEPS/TEMS
For each monitoring agent installed, you must install agent-specific application support on IBM Tivoli Monitoring components. You can choose to install application support on all components at one time, or you can install the application support on components separately. If installing components separately, the following order is recommended:
- Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server
- Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server
- Tivoli Enterprise Portal Desktop Client
- Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server Browser client (for Linux and UNIX Only)
It is strongly recommended that all TT components, agents and support, be brought up to the same revision level as soon as is practical.
Note: When installing application support any ITM components on the current machine is automatically stopped, including any TEMS or TEPS. Follow the Starting and stopping servers and agents guide to manually stop ITM agents and infrastructure. You should warn other users before beginning the installation.
Performing the necessary tasks after installation
A successful installation modifies the ITCAM for TT version to 7.4.0.1.46. Ensure that the Version of Transaction Reporter and Transaction Collector in the MTEMS is '07.40.01.46.
Cinfo/MTEMS will report the following agent version:
07.40.01.46
On Windows the installation logs are written to the following directory:
ITM_HOME\InstallITM\
On Unix the installation logs are written to the following directory:
ITM_HOME/logs/
Uninstalling if necessary
This maintenance package cannot be rolled back.
On Windows, the product can be removed using the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs.
On UNIX, the product may be removed using the script:
ITM_HOME/bin/uninstall.sh
