** Troubleshooting ** 'Error Repairing Connection. Please... ' when clicking repair button in Controller configuration

Troubleshooting


Problem

Administrator logs onto Controller application server, and launches Cognos Controller Configuration. Administrator creates new 'Database Connection'. In order to allow Standard Reports to work (see separate IBM Technote 1367399), administrator opens the section 'Report Server' and clicks 'repair' ('Report server Connections'). Error message appears on screen.

Symptom


Error repairing connection. Please verify that the target URI is valid and that IBM Cognos is online.
