Error description

  • BSYI200E- DBRC-API GENJCL.USER service failed
due to invalid characters in the command buffer for the DBRC API
when IRE called the DBRC API to generate recovery JCL.
This occurred because the length of a PDS directory entry size
was bigger than usual. ISPF editor sets user data for
statistics and the length is usually 30 bytes (42 bytes if
extended statistics is used). In this case, the length of the
directory entry user data is 46.

Database recovery build job fails with the following message.

    BSY0004I - (BSYI200E)- DBRC-API GENJCL.USER service failed

This can happen when GENJCL library or Delete/Define library
has a user data longer than 42 bytes in PDS directory block.
Those libraries are defined on "Datasets for GENJCL" or
"Delete/Define PDS DSN" field in the ISPF option setting
    panels.
