Error description
The Catalog Manager utility causes several storage problem when it processes the IMS directory which has large number of ACBs. 1. The utility causes storage shortage by failing FREEMAIN when the utility processes DEDB and tries to obtain lacked information from PSB which refers DEDB. 2. The utility causes ABEND after GETMAIN error occurs. It should stop processing when it get GETMAIN error. 3. The utility uses a lot of storage when it processes FUNC=CHECK_GENTIME.

This APAR fixes the following problems of the Catalog Manager utility. - The utility causes storage shortage by failing FREEMAIN when it processes DEDB and tries to obtain lacked information from PSBs which refers DEDB. - The utility causes ABEND0C4 after GETMAIN error occurs. - The utility uses a lot of storage when it processes FUNC=CHECK_GENTIME even if it processes one member. This APAR fixes the Catalog Manager utility to correct FREEMAIN failure not to cause storage shortage. The APAR also fixes the utility to stop processing when it gets GETMAIN error. This APAR provides improvement of storage usage to process IMS directory which has a lot of members.
