How can I administer IBM Spectrum Protect (Tivoli Storage Manager) HSM for Windows using the command line?
Answer
HSM for Windows provides a variety of different command line tools, like dsmclc.exe, dsmhsmclc.exe and others, to administer most parts of HSM for Windows. For further information about these tools refer to the HSM for Windows product documentation in IBM Knowledge Center at: http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSATMW/
The attached document describes tasks and file specifications that extend the command-line interface, and allows you to fully implement the HSM for Windows client without using the GUI.
