IBM Support

Adding Orchestration & Automation License is Not Enabling Scripts, Functions, and Other Functionality

Troubleshooting

Problem

After installing IBM Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) and add license key from UI and CLI, you are not able to see scripts, functions, or functionality in Cloud Pak for Security (CP4S) console for SOAR Playbooks.

Resolving The Problem

Check license key configuration:

  1. Verify isc-cases-customer-license as the name of the secret.
  2. Check whether license you have obtain does not contain extra spaces.
  3. Ensure that secret is created for your namespace and not system namespaces.
  4. Ensure key name is license.key.
  5. Ensure you have waited for at least 30 mins.

Check SOAR pods:

  1. Log in to cloudctl and check pods:
            Cloudctl login -a https://icp-console.xxx-xxxx.domain:443 -u admin -p xxxxxxxxxxx
  2. Ensure to be logged in to your workspace where CP4S is installed.
  3. Check for "ISC-cases" and "ISC-entitlement" pods to ensure they are in running status:
            kubectl get pods
  4. Verify that license key: SecretName is = isc-cases-customer-license:
            kubectl describe pod ISC-cases-application-xxxxxxx
  5. If the SecretName is isc-cases-license-key then open a ticket with Cloud Pak for Security support.
