APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When "sharedTmpDir" parameter configured using
"mmchconfig"
to other then "DEFAULT", during the next node reboot the
following error message could be seen in mmfs.log:
"[E] Unknown config parameter "sharedTmpDir" in
/var/mmfs/gen/mmfs.cfg"

Problem summary


    

  • A configuration variable "sharedTmpDir" is to instruct
mmapplypolicy where to create temporary files shared
among nodes during a policy scan.
The internal configuration variable table missed
containing this variable, which caused an error during GPFS
daemon initialization but it does not
result in any functional problem.
