IJ24499: PREVENT MV TO OVERWRITE FILE WHEN DELETION IS FORBIDDEN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ACL settings restrict file deletion ('rm' results in
  "Permission denied"). However, the content as well as the
  inode can still be removed by moving a new file over the
  old one.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When attempting to move or rename a
  file from a source to a destination,
  and the destination file already
  exists and has permissions
  set such that its deletion is not allowed, the
  move/rename operation wrongly ends
  up overwriting the destination file.
  

Problem conclusion

• Benefits of the solution:
  Correct enforcement of ACLs during a
  move/rename operation.
  Work Around: None.

  The destination of the move/rename operation
  must already exist and
  have ACLs set such that its deletion is not allowed.
