PI38956: MESSAGE 'UNABLE TO OPEN -XOPTIONSFILE' RUNNING JMP, EVEN THOUGH FILE IS SUCCESSFULLY OPEN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Running JBP encounters Message 'Unable to open -Xoptionsfile'
  running JMP, even though the Xoptionsfile is successfully
  processed.
  The JVM has successfully opened the -Xoptinsfile as
  indicated by the successful running of the JBP.
  Module DFSJVM00 attempts to open the -Xoptionsfile in order to
  print the the contents of if.
  The issue occurs when the member pointed to by the JVMOPMAS
  parm on the JBP contains sequence numbers for example:
  -Xoptionsfile=/tmp/dfsjvmpr.props                  00050000

  Sequence numbers were specified at the end of the -Xoptionsfile
  JVM option declaration in the IMS JVMOPMAS member.  These
  sequence numbers were included as the -Xoptionsfile filename
  incorrectly by IMS which resulted in the error message from the
  IMS launcher, DFSJVM00.  Thus, the IMS launcher was not able to
  open the -Xoptionsfile in order to display the contents in the
  dependent region job output.
