Context root for .ear and .war files might change after manual upgrade and deployment to WebSphere Application Server

Troubleshooting

Problem

When the a Rational Asset Manager .ear or .war file is manually updated on IBM® WebSphere® Application Server, the context root reverts from its previous value to the default value. For example, the com.ibm.ram.repository.web_runtime.ear reverts from its current context root (for example, []com.ibm.ram.repository.web[]) to the new default ([]ram[]).

Symptom

The URLs to access your Rational Asset Manager applications have changed. Your applications are no longer available through your bookmarks, which may result in disruptions for your users and for web services.
