    ****************************************************************
Message DFS0760I was incorrectly issued for a FP region.
Message DFS0759I was issued for DFSVNUCx after control region
initialization, same message was also received for an XRF
environment but after XRF takeover was completed.

The original APAR PM34882 attempted to fix a problem that was
related to DRD code changes. If LSO=S was specified and if page
fixing was requested for resident PSB pools (DFSPSBRS and
DFSDLIRS) or resident intent list (DFSINTRS) in the DFSFIXxx
member of the PROCLIB, message DFS0760I was issued stating they
were not page fixed. This was because module DFSRDB30 that
initializes database control blocks had not been called when
DFSIFIX0 was called to do the actual page fixing. Module
DFSRDB30 should be called before DFSIFIX0 in order for page
    fixing to be successful.

    APAR PM34882 changed modules DFSXDL10, DFSXCIC0, DFSIRST0
and DFSIFIX0 to page fix after DFSRDB30 had been called.
However, as a result of these changes, users reported the
errors listed in the Problem Description section above.

The correct fix for the original problem is to have DFSIFIX0
called twice by CTL region and DLISAS region initialization.
The first call to DFSIFIX0 will page fix what are specified
in the IMS proclib member with the exception of DFSPSBRS,
DFSDLIRS and DFSINTRS. After DFSRDB30 has been called,
a second call to DFSIFIX0 will page fix DFSPSBRS, DFSDLIRS
    and DFSINTRS.

Problem conclusion

  • GEN:
    KEYWORDS:

    *** END IMS KEYWORDS ***

Code change has been made in several modules to enable page
fixing of DFSPSBRS, DFSDLIRS and DFSINTRS, which are dependent
on the existence of DL/I database and application control
    blocks.

DFSXDL10: The call to module DFSIFIX0 after label ABCOD8 that
was removed by PM34882 has been restored. This is
now the first call to DFSIFIX0. At label ABCOD7B,
code has been added to call DFSIFIX0 a second time.

DFSIFIX0: Code has been added after labels SCANLOOP, KEYWORDN,
PRTERROR to look for DFSPSBRS, DFSDLIRS and DFSINTRS.
This enables the module to page fix only these 3
pools when it is called the second time by DFSXDL10
and DFSIRST0, after DFSRDB30 has been called.
Code has also been added to not issue DFS0760I message
for DFSPSBRS, DFSDLIRS and DFSINTRS when it is called
the first time by DFSXDL10 and DFSXCIC0.

DFSIRST0: Added a second call to DFSIFIX0 for both the normal
              and XRF systems.

DFSXCIC0: Restore the call to DFSIFIX0. This is the first call,
              before DFSRDB30.

ISCD : Added flags SCDDLIFX and SCDCTLFX. They are used to
indicate whether it is the first or second call
to module DFSIFIX0 during DLI and CTL region
              initialization.

    SSCD : Removed flag SCDXCIC0.
