Error description

  • Problem Description:
IF a description field contains html
characters such as <br> the wrapping of that field in the list
tab will not occur, regardless what is set for
webclient.wraplength property. If just standard text is entered
in a description the wrapping happens based on the wraplength
setting. With html included the column stretches for longer
descriptions and causes significant horizontal scrolling to see
    all columns in the list.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    - set the
    webclient.wraplength property to 30
    - go to work order tracking
and hit enter to see all records
    - pick one and edit it's
description to add a significant amount of text
    Something like
"Here is my description to test the wrapping. If I have html
    chars in here it fails"
    - Save the record
    - go to list page and
    refresh
    - you will see that your lengthy description has
wrapped as required to 30 character width
    - go back to that
    same Work order
    - modify the description:
    "Here is my
description to test the wrapping of text on the list page. If I
have html chars like <br> in here the wrapping does not
    happen"
    - Save the record
    - go to list page and
    refresh

    RESULTS:
you will see that your lengthy description
has now stretched the column width significantly and if you
hover you will see the <br> tag embedded.

    EXPECTED RESULTS:

should consistently wrap the column based on the value in the
    webclient.wraplength property
Tags can get embedded in the
description by means of entry in a multi-line text box and
should be handled consistently by the UI
