Does IBM Spectrum Protect Server support HPE StoreEver LTO-8 Control and Data Path Failover?
Answer
The HPE StoreEver LTO-8 Control and Data Path Failover is supported with IBM Spectrum Protect version 8.1.4 or subsequent maintenance release. The failover function is transparent to the IBM Spectrum Protect Server.
Supported libraries and drives:

- HPE StoreEver MSL3040 with firmware version 3210 or later
- HPE StoreEver MSL6480 with firmware version 5.60 or later
- HPE StoreEver MSL LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 FC drive with firmware version JAYF or later
Supported Operating Systems:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux(RHEL) Server x64 6.6 - 6.10 & 7.1 - 7.7
- Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, & 2016
The following device drivers are required:
- RHEL - lin_tape level 3.0.21 or newer
- Windows - HPE StoreEver LTO-7+ PFO driver level 6.2.6.4 or newer
