Troubleshooting
Problem
The following steps cause a problem with the fix pack operation:
- Deploy the Default DB2 OLTP Pattern with HADR and VIP pattern by using Db2 pattern type V1.2.9.1 with Db2 V11.1. It deploys Db2 V11.1.4.4 successfully.
- Go to Manage > Operation to display the Instance Console page.
- Select OS Node > Apply Fixpack to apply Db2 fix pack V11.1.4.5.
The Apply Fixpack operation displays a failure message on the Instance Console page of Cloud Pak System.
Symptom
The failure message on the Pattern Instance > Instance Console is as follows:
OS_Node_1.XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.DB2_Server_1-Part: Failed to upgrade db2 Fixpack to version: '11.1.4.5'
