Errors Chunk already exists and Primary reserved page is corrupt during a restore

Problem

You are trying to restore a database server but you see a message similar to this: Chunk /path/to/informix/chunks/chunk123 already exists. Primary reserved page is corrupt. oninit: Fatal error in shared memory initialization. Physical restore failed - function write physical restore failed code -1 errno 0.

Symptom
