Error description

  • Administration Tool, during RDEF command processing on a
partitioned TableSpace to decrease number of partitions, the
new limitkey create definition does NOT use quotes around
the TIMESTAMP value thus causing SQLCODE104 during INDEX create.

Local fix

  • Add quotes to create index prior to submitting job.

Problem conclusion

  • The CREATE INDEX statement for the partitioning index fails
because it has more or less partitions than the new tablespace,
or because DATE, TIME or TIMESTAMP column values are not quoted
when defining the limitkey values. The reported problems have
been fixed.
