Error description

  • In DB2 Administration Tool, generating utilites for more than
99 objects can generate failing jobs. Some skeletons generate a
DDNAME that exceeds 8 characters: adb2utu adb2utul adb2utux
.
When processing more than 255 objects, generated jobs exceed
the maximum limit of steps per job.

Local fix

  • Usermod to skeletons to shorten DDNAMES.
Edit job stream and insert JOB card before submitting for
execution.
