APAR status

Error description

  • On a Japanese system that uses DBCS characters the user invokes
"call pgm01". The normal behavior is that the DDS screen is
displayed. On the reported issue after the "call pgm01" is
issued nothing is displayed. Only after resizing is the DDS
screen is displayed. The issue is the same whether on a normal
window or maximize.

Local fix

  • Resizing the PComm window display the DBCS DDS screen.

When the user sends the command to display the table of data on
the DDS panel, it fails to display the full table. If the user
causes a refresh of the screen by moving/dragging the window
size, the DDS panel data is displayed. This issue occurs due to
the window repaint on the DDS screen panel.

Problem conclusion

  • PCSWS.EXE has been changed to refresh the DDS panel properly.

Fix scheduled for PCOM 14.0.2 Refresh Pack (32-bit and 64-bit)
