Error description

  • Customer received an MQ timeout when the
ReconcileTask TaskInitiation message was delivered (via ITS
    scheduler).
When the MQ timeout occurred, the WAS/MQ retried the message by
putting it back on the SF queue.
This caused the ReconcileTask to execute again for the same UOW
(presentment id) twice. With the addition of dispute settlement
processing, this caused problems processing settlement/disputes
for onus (both Zelle_Orig and Zelle_Recv in the same system)
    transactions.

To help eliminate this problem, the ReconcileTask needs to use
the IPDProcessLock/Accessor to lock the presentment id UOW that
is being processed. If any successive task executions occur,
then they should stop processing (provide an informational
message) if the presentment is already locked by the same task
    in the IPDProcessLock table.

This new processing should ensure that the UOW is unlocked
whenever the task completes its execution.

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

  • The Zelle Reconciliation Task will now lock the NACHA Unit of
Work (Processing Presentment) while it is reconciling received
payments so that the task will not allow the same Unit of Work
to be processed at the same time (by another processing thread).
