Error description
When the cache provider does not support disk offload the user may receive the following error CacheProvider E CWWDY1064E: The operation "containsKeyDisk()" for cacheName cache_name cannot be performed because cache provider provider_name does not support the disk cache offload feature.
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server using an external cache provider * * and the containsKey API. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message DYNA1064E is observered when * * the containsKey API is invoked and * * the cache provider does not implement * * disk caching. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Dynacache invokes the cache provider's containsKeyDisk API regardless if the cache provider has implemented the disk caching feature.
Problem conclusion
If the underlying cache provider is not dynacache and does not implement disk caching then the containsKeyDisk API will not be invoked. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.37, 8.0.0.10 and 8.5.5.5.
