Error description

  • If FORCEROLLUP = YES is specified on a non-partitioned
table space on panel ADB2USO, the message 'Invalid
specification' appears (PF1/Help displays the following longer
message in a pop-up:  'The FORCEROLLUP option is only valid for
partitioned table spaces.').  However, this restriction is
unnecessary, as REORG processing just ignores the
FORCEROLLUP option if included in a REORG statement for a
non-partitioned table space.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Db2 Admin Tool panels restricted        *
*                      the use of the FORCEROLLUP option to    *
*                      only partitioned objects.               *
****************************************************************
When using the Db2 Admin Tool panels to execute Db2 Utilities,
FORCEROLLUP was restricted during the following utility actions:

REORG TABLESPACE
RUNSTATS TABLESPACE
REBUILD INDEX
REORG INDEX
RUNSTATS INDEX

Specifying FORCEROLLUP on a non-partitioned table space or index
resulted in an error, and the user could not proceed.

Example error:
Short message:  Invalid specification
Long message:  The FORCEROLLUP option is only valid for
partitioned table spaces.

Problem conclusion
