APAR status

Error description

  • mmunlinkfileset command hang. The signature waiters are:

Waiting 906.8676 sec since 19:33:47, monitored, thread
21365 Msg handler sgmMsgFsetOps: for In kernel waiting to
quiesce fileset

Local fix

  • Restart the longest waiter or filesystem manager node.

Problem summary

  • mmunlinkfileset command hang and long waiter "waiting to
quiesce" appears.  A thread is hung and wait inside
gpfs_s_delete_inode kernel extension routine.

Problem conclusion

  • Avoid this deadlock
