PI23312: MISSING DATASET FOR PROFPARM DD FOR TEMPLATE ADBCMBAT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS' template name  ADBCMBAT
  'Create CM Batch JCL procedure' fails with a dataset not found
  error as the input for panel CCQPPRD 'Product Parameters' field
  'CM Batch local installation parameters' does not confirm the
  existence of the dataset nor does it create the dataset.

  When a PDS that does not exist is specified with a member
  name for input field 'CM Batch local installation parameters'
  on panel CCQPPRD 'Product Parameters', and job template
  ADBCMBAT is submitted, the error message:
  
  'DATA SET NOT FOUND'.

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been resolved with updates to the following:
  
  1. Field-level help for panel CCQPPRD 'Product Parameters'
  input field 'CM Batch local installation parameters' has been
  updated with the following information:
  
  Optional. Enter the dsname(member) used to contain your
  default parameters for CM Batch. If the specified PDS does
  not exist, it will be created using DCB attributes (LRECL=80,
  RECFM=FB).
  
  2. Job template ADBCMBAT has been updated to create the
  specified PDS if it does not exist.
