PH24628: SMF EXTRACTOR MCS CORRECTION PART 1

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This PTF will remove the ++MOD definitions for the SMF
  Extractor.
  
  The PTF for APAR PH24637 must be installed after this PTF to add
  the SMF Extractor definitions as ++PROGRAM and refresh the
  SMF Extractor modules modules.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All IZPCA customers using the SMF Extractor. *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The SMF Extractor parts were added      *
  *                      as ++MODs when they should be           *
  *                      ++PROGRAMs.                             *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: This problem required to APAR to rectify     *
  *                 the MCS statements.                          *
  *                                                              *
  *                 Apply the provided PTF followed by the       *
  *                 PTF for PH24637.                             *
  ****************************************************************
  The SMF Extractor parts are required to be refreshed, however
  SMF Extractor parts were added as ++MODs when they should
  be ++PROGRAMs. This PTF removes the ++MODs definitions.
  APAR PH24637 which must be APPLYed after this PTF will install
  the updated SMF Extractor as ++PROGRAMs.
  

Problem conclusion

• The ++MODs for the SMF Extractor are removed.
