• Customer is performing Optim SEARCH processing involving an
  ARCHIVE file with an INDEX.
  The process may ABEND S378 with the following symptoms:

Local fix

Problem summary

  *                      Optim may issue an error message which  *
  *                      is not appropriate for the scenario.    *
  ****************************************************************
  Optim may ABEND while processing RESTORE, SUBSET and SEARCH
  criteria while INDEX use has been specified.
  When criteria exceed the allowed number of predicates (256)
  Optim may issue an error message which is not appropriate for
  the scenario.
  

Problem conclusion

• Optim processing of INDEX files will be corrected.
  A more appropriate message will be issued in case of excessive
  number of predicates in selection criteria.
