Security Bulletin
Summary
Information about security vulnerabilities affecting IBM Business Process Manager, IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms, IBM Endpoint Manager for Patch Management, IBM SmartCloud Cost Management, IBM Tivoli System Application Automation Manager and IBM Tivoli Monitoring has been published in a security bulletin (CVE-2015-1920, CVE-2015-4000). This security bulletin covers also the Logjam Attack on TLS connections using the Diffie-Hellman (DH) key exchange protocol vulnerability.
Vulnerability Details
IBM Business Process Manager, IBM Tivoli System Automation Application Manager, IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms, IBM Endpoint Manager for Patch Management are shipped with IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator and IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator Enterprise. IBM SmartCloud Cost Management and IBM Tivoli Monitoring are shipped solely with IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator Enterprise.
CVEID: CVE-2015-1920
DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Application Server could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code by connecting to a management port and executing a specific sequence of instructions.
CVSS Base Score: 9.3
CVSS Temporal Score: See https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/102404 for the current score

CVEID: CVE-2015-4000
DESCRIPTION: The TLS protocol could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by the failure to properly convey a DHE_EXPORT ciphersuite choice. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability using man-in-the-middle techniques to force a downgrade to 512-bit export-grade cipher. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to recover the session key as well as modify the contents of the traffic. This vulnerability is commonly referred to as "Logjam".
CVSS Base Score: 4.3

Remediation/Fixes
The recommended solution is to apply the fixes as soon as practical. Review below for information on the fixes available.
IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator
If you are running IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator V2.3, V2.3.01, or V2.3.0.1 up to iFix7, upgrade to IBM Cloud Orchestrator 2.3.0.1 Interim Fix 8.
For affected supporting products shipped with IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator, consult the security bulletins below for vulnerability details and apply fixes as appropriate depending on your environment
IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator Enterprise Edition:
If you are running IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator Enterprise V2.3, V2.3.01, or V2.3.0.1 up to iFix7 upgrade to IBM Cloud Orchestrator 2.3.0.1 Interim Fix 8.
For affected supporting products shipped with IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator Enterprise, consult the security bulletins below for vulnerability details and apply fixes as appropriate depending
Note: You should verify applying this configuration change does not cause any compatibility issues. If you change the default setting after applying the fix, you will expose yourself to the attack described above. IBM recommends that you review your entire environment to identify other areas where you have enabled the Diffie-Hellman key-exchange protocol used in TLS and take appropriate mitigation and remediation actions.
For unsupported IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator V2.2.0 and V2.2.0.1 and IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator Enterprise V2.2.0 and V2.2.0.1. IBM recommends upgrading to a fixed, supported version of the product.
