This document describes the known issues with IBM Netezza Analytics 3.2.2, 3.2.3 and 3.2.4 for System z for IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS Version V5.1, maintenance level PTF-2 or higher

Known issues

  1. Accelerator not operational during installation
    Summary
    While you are installing the IBM Netezza Analytics package, an accelerator cannot process ordinary requests, such as queries or load jobs. Instead, you receive an error message that reports a broken database connection.

    After the installation, the accelerator will be responsive again.

    Solution workaround
    To avoid jobs that do not run to completion, ask your clients to refrain from submitting regular accelerator jobs during the installation of the IBM Netezza Analytics package.
  2. PMML_MODEL generates output with invalid characters for multi-byte EBCDIC clustering models
    Summary
    If the kmeans or twostep stored procedures are fed with multi-byte EBCDIC input data, and the INZA.PMML_MODEL procedure is run on the created model in a second step, the resulting PMML models contain invalid characters. As a consequence, the resulting clustering models cannot be visualized and scored with SPSS Modeler.

    Solution or workaround
    Use a multi-byte UNICODE input table to create your analytics model.
  3. INZA stored procedure fails with an error message including "Could not serialize - transaction aborted" or "Current transaction block is aborted.  Must issue ROLLBACK to continue."
    Summary
    If several INZA stored procedures run in parallel, they might fail with the error message

    "ERROR:  Current transaction block is aborted.  Must issue ROLLBACK to continue."

    or

    "ERROR:  : Could not serialize - transaction aborted."

    Solution or workaround
    The problem does not occur if the INZA stored procedures are run sequentially.
