Abstract
To upgrade to Master Console V0.8.1, download the fix pack and run the installation program from the QRadar appliance where Master Console is installed.

If QRadar V7.2.5 or later and Master Console are both installed, you can upgrade Master Console to V0.8.1.
Before you begin
- You must have Master Console installed. For information about opening Master Console, see the IBM Knowledge Center:
- QRadar 7.2.5
- You must have a file copying software program, such as WinSCP, to copy the Master Console file from your local system to the QRadar appliance.
- Download the software fix pack for Master Console V0.8.1 from the IBM Fix Central web site:

FIBM+Security+QRadar+SIEM&fixids=0.8.1-QRADAR-QRCONSOLE-20160108162819&source=SAR - Use a file copying software program, such as WinSCP, to copy the Master Console software fix to the QRadar host where you installed Master Console.
- Use SSH to log in as the root user to the QRadar appliance where you copied the Master Console software fix.
- Stop the Tomcat service by typing the following command:
service tomcat stop - In the console window for the QRadar appliance, run the Master Console installation file by using the following command:
rpm -Uvh masterconsole-0.8.1-20160108162819.rpm - Restart the Tomcat service by typing the following command:
service tomcat start

Results
Running the installation file upgrades the masterconsole database and restarts the
services on the QRadar appliance.
