Abstract
IBM Spectrum Symphony now with IBM Cloud Private
Body
IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.2.0.2 is now available with IBM Cloud Private 2.1.0.1!
IBM Cloud Private is an application platform for developing and managing on-premises, containerized cloud applications. It provides an integrated environment for managing containers that includes the container orchestrator Kubernetes, a private image repository, a management console, and monitoring frameworks.
With IBM Cloud Private, you can quickly configure and deploy IBM Spectrum Symphony to run it as a Docker container application in a Kubernetes cluster. You can then manage the IBM Spectrum Symphony application from the UI or the CLI in IBM Cloud Private.
IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.2.0.2 is featured in the IBM Cloud Private 2.1.0.1 Catalog as a no-charge customer-managed Community Edition. This Community Edition provides the full functionality of IBM Spectrum Symphony, but only for a cluster of up to 64 cores.
Note that the Community Edition is different from the Developer Edition. The Developer Edition provides a test environment for application developers to test their applications before deploying to the grid and does not provide resource management capabilities. The Community Edition includes all the capabilities of the enterprise-class IBM Spectrum Symphony except with a scalability restriction.
If you’d like to try out IBM Spectrum Symphony with IBM Cloud Private, install IBM Cloud Private.
