Error description

  • IMS RE BSYDBRDB issues IMS command: QUERY DB SHOW(ALL)
    NAME(xxxxxxxx) with CSLOMCMD API. RE expects a local status
    response such as LSTT(STA,ALLOC but receives global status
    response such as STT(STA,ALLOC. The global status information
    is unnecessary for RE and can cause an error.

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply maintenance.                           *
    ****************************************************************
    If IMS RM global command status information for database is
    enabled, database recovery utility BSYDBRDB fails with return
    code 08 and message BSYI924W - IMS QUERY DB Command Failed.
    BSYDBRDB gets database status with QUERY DB SHOW(ALL) command
    via CSLOMCMD API. If IMS RM database global status is enabled,
    API returns not only local status but also global status.
    Global status information is unnecessary and causes an error.

Problem conclusion

  • Option LOCAL is added for QUERY DB command in order to
    suppress unnecessary global status information.
