IBM Content Navigator documentation clarification - Cross-repository searches use a different limit than the limit set on the repository

Product Documentation

Abstract

When you configure a repository, you can specify how many results a search returns to the web client. However, this limit applies only to regular searches and does not apply to cross-repository searches.

Content

Cross-repository searches use a fixed threshold of 500 results per repository. However, if a repository contains more than 500 results that match the search criteria, the user who ran the search is informed that more results exist. This behavior enables the user to refine their search if necessary.

For more information about cross-repository searches, see Searching for content across multiple repositories (cross-repository searches) in IBM Knowledge Center.
