What logs could be collected when a problem happens in IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) and its integration with Broadcom Endevor® Software Change Manager (SCM)?
Answer
IDz client:
The following traces can be enabled:

Start IDz and Select menu Window > Preferences > Tracing and set the following properties to
FINEST: carma.endevor.ui, com.ibm.carma.client, com.ibm.carma.ui, com.ibm.carma.ui.ftt -
Reproduce the problem

Send to the support team the file
<your workspace>\.metadata\.trace

Server:
Trace level needs to be enabled on the IDz client CARMA connection. (Level can be changed only when disconnected)

Right-click on your CARMA connection

Select menu Properties


Once enabled, reproduce the problem then gather the following logs:
CARMALOG- Endevor
MSG3FILE - FEKLOGS with debug level enabled
- In some cases, other logs might be required: C1EXMSGS, C1MSGS1, BSTAPI, BSTERR
See the link section to configure and collect these logs.
Job output for batch actions:
If an error happens when a batch action is submitted ("Submit on host"), then gather the job output.
