To verify successful FTP client connection to the FTP server, prior to client login, check for the following messages on the FTP client: EZA1450I IBM FTP version

EZA1466I FTP: using name (where name is the name of the TCPIP stack FTP is using)

EZA1554I FTP Connecting to: name name port number (where name is the IP address of the FTP server)

220-jobname IBM FTP version_release_level at hostname, time on date

220 Connection will close if idle for more than 5 minutes.

EZA1459I NAME (host:user) (where host is the IP address of the FTP server and user is the useid of the client)
