How to Export IBM Security Guardium Definitions using the command-line interface (cli)?

How To

Summary

The Definitions Export and Definitions Import features are used to save and restore functional data from Guardium™ appliance, respectively.

For example, it is possible to create a Report on a Guardium™ system, export the information related to that object to a file, and then import it to another server with the same version of the product installed in order to use the same report there.

Speaking specifically about the Definitions Export feature, although it can typically be used from the graphical user interface (GUI), there is a not well-known method that helps to perform the same task from the command-line interface, which can be useful in automation tasks.
