APAR status

Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    4 digit number smaller than 1766 entered for DATE field gets
    converted to incorrect value and saved in table via MIF.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    (1) Go to Asset Application.
    
    (2) Prepare a csv file for data import, enter number 1212 as
    the value of DATE type field 'INSTALLDATE'.
    
    (3) Click action 'Application Import' via Asset application and
    point to the csv file prepared at step (2).
    
    RESULTS:
    New Asset was created in Asset table and value in 'INSTALLDATE'
    field is shown as 12/25/11.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    Data validation error happens and data import failed.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    (1) Go to Asset Application.
    
    (2) Prepare a csv file for data import, enter number 1212 as
    the value of DATE type field 'INSTALLDATE'.
    
    (3) Click action 'Application Import' via Asset application and
    point to the csv file prepared at step (2).
    
    RESULTS:
    New Asset was created in Asset table and value in 'INSTALLDATE'
    field is shown as 12/25/11.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    Data validation error should happen like it does in the UI when
    entering any value less than 1776 and the data import should
    fail.
