Error description

  • DB2 will generate an error if a UDTF returns invalid decimal
data for a decimal column. This will occur if legacy data
(IMS, VSAM, etc)is not valid decimal and the SQL Engine quick
copy featured is used to return data. While this case is missing
a specific example, it is assumed that the workaround was to
enable the SQL Engine "SQL CONVERT INVALID DATA TO ZERO" option
and the workaround failed as quick copy was still used even with
the convert option set which essentially disables the
convert option.
