APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Add undocumented option to control mtime change when a
directory is moved. Posix standard does not define if
mtime should be changed when directory is moved. GPFS
changes mtime of the directory because it's parent (and
it's '..' dentry is changed accordingly), but Linux local
file systems keep mtime, the different behavior may
confuse some customers' application.
If this option is set to 'yes', we will keep mtime just
like Linux local file system does.
