Description
Loading user defined functions from the database causes increased database activity and delays in returning KPI and Instance REST Service calls.
Text displayed in the Instances widget cannot be selected when using Internet Explorer.
Various issues might occur when you display IBM Business Monitor widgets in Internet Explorer 10.
When you start the IBM Business Monitor server with Cognos, the program hangs if the Cognos cogstartup.xml file contains special characters, such as an accent.
JR49245
Since the width of Instances widget columns is determined programmatically, the display of data cell values and column headers can be truncated. (Note: To enable the capability provided through this APAR, follow the instructions included in this document.)
If no users have subscribed to a Dashboard alert, you are sent an alert even when you are not subscribed to the alert because you are the alert owner.
JR49299
The automated Better Lender showcase monitor model installation does not work in 2014.
JR49300
Custom IBM Cognos BI filters are not applied when using the Report Viewer show instances function to display a filtered list of instances in the Instances widget.
JR49457
Text displayed in the Instances widget cannot be selected when using Chrome or Safari.
Under certain conditions, a time-based trigger might be evaluated indefinitely.
Failed event resubmission is blocked by a repeating unknown instance exception.
The mmdeploy command that generates application code for a monitor model always includes Java™ source code in the resulting EAR file.
After you use the moveAllMCInstances command to move active and completed monitoring context instances from an older version of a monitor model to a newer version of a monitor model, daily and specific time triggers that were transferred to the newer monitor model version do not function.
The IBM Cognos BI administration console may display an incorrect user listing.
Instances widget inline date filters do not filter correctly for date metrics.
Profile creation results in partial success if using a non-default log location.
White space is added below widgets in Business Space when using Internet Explorer 9.
Dashboard widgets that use gauges display incorrectly in IBM WebSphere Portal V8.
Monitor model generated DDL scripts for Oracle databases contain errors.
Creating IBM Business Monitor database tablespaces fails on DB2 10.5.
Displaying the first page of data in the Instances widget takes many seconds when the widget is configured to retrieve a large number of monitoring context instances.
Evaluating an expression KPI that is based on other expression KPIs is slow.
The moveAllMCInstances command cannot migrate active instances from a monitoring context generated in V7.0.0.5 to a monitoring context generated in V8.0.1.2.
The Instances widget displays a duplicate inline filter icon in Internet Explorer.
JR50562
If fine-grained security is enabled, then a SQL exception occurs when using the Instances widget.

Description
If the e-mail address specified in the configuration of an e-mail alert is mapped to multiple users in the configured user repository (stand-alone LDAP or federated repository), e-mail for an actual alert notification will fail to be delivered to any of the users with that e-mail address.
Retrieval of instance data by the Instances Widget (from Business Monitor REST services) triggers a memory leak in REST services. Over time this can result in an out of memory condition in the Java Virtual Machine (stand-alone server or cluster) where REST services is deployed, especially with a large number of instances.
When deleting a user (subscription) from a dashboard alert in Business Space (by clicking on the red 'X' that appears under the Actions column for the user in the list of alert recipients), the operation appears to succeed (a popup indicating that "The alert was updated successfully" is displayed), but after closing the Alert dialog and returning to it later, the previously deleted user still appears, and alerts are still sent to that user.
The KPI History and Prediction widget cannot display the history of a KPI across all versions of a monitor model.
When using Cognos in the context of the Business Monitor product, scheduling a report results in a "credentials are invalid" error message.
JR46811
More diagnostic logging is needed for the case when Cognos does not start during Business Monitor server startup.
JR46813
More diagnostic logging is needed for the case when Business Monitor widgets are not configured correctly for the Cognos service.
The Instances widget displays duplicate scroll bars, either vertical, horizontal, or a combination of vertical and horizontal.
When choosing to export instances listed on all pages of the Instances Widget, the complete list of instances is not exported.
JR47508
Event processing failures could occur after monitor model deployment or undeployment due to a cached value for “hasXctIdColumn”.
JR47536
The KPI Widget does not display when using the Brazilian Portuguese locale.
JR47602
Fine grained security filters are not evaluated for KPIs as part of the dashboard alert evaluation process. This has the potential to cause erroneous alerts or missing dashboard alerts.
JR47683
A report cannot be created when using the Report Designer Widget with the Internet Explorer browser if the cube package names contain special characters, such as a tilde.
JR47754
Cognos cube publishing fails if fine grained security filters contain users that do not exist in the user registry.
JR47755
When a KPI definition uses a metric marked as "Hide from dashboards" as part of the filter criteria, the "Show Instances" button does not display the correct instances.
JR47905
When KPI descriptions created at monitor model development time contain double quote characters, then the runtime adds escape characters and these extraneous escape characters are displayed in dashboards.
JR47907
Large numbers of KPI metric filters or fine grained security filters might cause an out of memory condition during Cognos cube deployment or high dashboard usage.

Description
With Oracle as the database, in the (Cognos-based) Report Viewer widget, if a dimension is based on a metric of type String, and at least one instance of the monitoring context has a value that is sufficiently long, drilldown on that dimension will fail, with an Oracle error being reported.
When the Purge and Archive service is executed against a large set of instance data, the purge operation performs too slowly.
In the Instances widget, when you search on a metric of type Decimal and enter a decimal value (any value containing a decimal point) as the search value, an error message is displayed.
In a topology where IBM Business Monitor Version 8.0 and WebSphere Process Server (WPS) Version 7.0 are in separate cells, table-based routing from WPS to Monitor does not work. (Refer to this technote for details on configuring a custom property that allows table-based routing to work in this topology.)
When the Instances widget is filtered on a Date metric, instances with a corresponding Date metric value that falls on the date prior to the specified date, or the date prior to the beginning of the specified date range, may be included in the filtered set of instances.
There is a memory leak in the com.ibm.wbimonitor.router.scalable.distribution.MMRoutingClassLoader plugin. This memory leak manifests itself on a server hosting CEI, where this plugin is installed for event routing to IBM Business Monitor. It can result in system crashes due to JVM heap memory exhaustion.

Description
In the Instances widget, Daylight Savings Time is not honored in timestamps (localized to the user's timezone).
Complex fine grain security filters, and repeated LDAP lookups, impact performance of IBM Business Monitor widgets.
Two issues in the Cognos Cache Clearing service need to be addressed:

1) Calling the Cognos Cache Clearing service in the Monitor admin page (Monitor Scheduled Services > [application] > Scheduled Services > Cognos Cache Clearing > Versions) always shows a failure message.
2) Cognos sessions initiated by the service (one per run) are not terminated, resulting in a "session leak".
The Show Instances function in the Cognos Report Viewer widget does not filter instances in the wired Instances widget based on filter defined in the Report Viewer widget.
When a user logs out of Business Space, after having accessed a Cognos related widget (e. g. Cognos Report Viewer) during the session, a Cognos authentication dialog may appear, forcing the user to log back in to Cognos before the logout can complete.
With an Instances widget and at least one other widget on the same page in Business Space, if a widget besides the Instances widget is in the maximized state at the time the page is loaded, the page fails to render properly.
The Show Instances function in the Cognos Reporr Viewer does not filter instances displayed in a wired Instances widget based on the filters selected in prompts (added in Cognos Report Studio).
The KPI Manager widget cannot be used to create an aggregate KPI based on a metric in an nested monitoring context.
If IBM Business Monitor must access the Cognos server via an HTTP server, Cognos cache clearing via the administrative console fails.
In the KPI widget, if a KPI does not have a data filter defined, the Show Instances function does not display the correct set of instances in the wired Instances widget.
In the Monitor Data Security panel, group search may fail to return any groups.
