Upgrading to IBM Rational Performance Tester 8.2.1.4

Prerequisite:

You must have installed Rational Performance Tester version 8.2.

Procedure:

To upgrade to Rational Performance Tester 8.2.1.4:

1. Open IBM Installation Manager.
2. Click Update.
3. Select the package group to find updates for and click Next.
4. Select the version 8.2.1.4 check box and click Next.
5. On the Prerequisite page, if the IBM Rational License Key Administrator is installed, click Next.
6. Click I accept the terms of the license agreements and click Next.
7. On the Features page under Translations, select the languages for the package group.
8. On the next Features page, select the package features to install.

9. To configure licensing on the workbench computer, type the TCP/IP port number and host name of the license servers and click Next.

10. On the help system configuration page, select an option to see help, and then click Next.

11. On the Summary page, review your choices, and click Update.

Upgrading Rational Performance Tester Agent to version 8.2.1.4

Prerequisite:

You must have installed Rational Performance Tester Agent version 8.2.

Procedure:

1. Open IBM Installation Manager.
2. Click Update.
3. Select the package group to find updates for and click Next.
4. Select the Version 8.2.1.4 check box and click Next.
5. For License terms covering use with IBM Rational Performance Tester, click I accept the terms of the license agreements and click Next.
6. On the Features page, select the packages to update and click Next.
7. On the next Features page, configure the agent controller. Select either a Typical installation or a Custom installation. Click Next.
8. Select IBM Rational Performance Tester - for use with Virtual Tester Pack floating licenses in IBM Rational Performance Tester.

Note: Select one of the other two options only if you want to use Rational Test Workbench, and you purchased IBM Rational Performance Test Server or IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server and you are upgrading an IBM Rational Performance Tester Agent installation that was part of the installation procedure of either of those two respective products. Click Next.
