Abstract
To upgrade to Master Console V0.12.0, download the software update and run the installation program from the QRadar host where Master Console is installed.

To upgrade to Master Console V0.12.0, both QRadar V7.2.8 software update 7 (7.2.8.20170530170730) or later and Master Console must be installed.

Procedure
1. Download these files from Fix Central:
- masterconsole-0.12.0-20171010024548.rpm (https://ibm.biz/BdjGPv)
- PROTOCOL-ArielRESTAPI-7.2-20170220090247.noarc.rpm (https://ibm.biz/BdjGPK)
3. As a root user, use SSH to log in to the QRadar host where you copied the Master Console software update.
4. Stop the Tomcat service by typing the following command:
service tomcat stop
5. Type the following command to run the Master Console installation file:
yum -y install masterconsole-0.11.0-20170919180219.rpm
6. Type the following command to run the Ariel REST API protocol file:
yum -y install PROTOCOL-ArielRESTAPI-7.2-20170220090247.noarch.rpm
7. Start the Tomcat service by typing the following command:
service tomcat start
Results
Running the installation file upgrades the Master Console database and restarts the services on the QRadar host.
