Abstract
Support of IBM FlashSystem 840 and IBM FlashSystem 900 with IBM Storage Insights and IBM Spectrum Control 5.4 (all versions).

IBM FlashSystem 840 and IBM FlashSystem 900 were tested with the following firmware levels:

Limitations and considerations
- 1 Compression data is displayed for the IBM FlashSystem 900 AE3 (starting with firmware version 1.6) in IBM Storage Insights and IBM Spectrum Control.
- 2 IBM FlashSystem 900 has reached End of Service as of 31 December, 2022.
- 3 IBM FlashSystem 840 has reached End of Service as of 31 December, 2019.
- Provisioning functions are not supported for the IBM FlashSystem 840 or 900.
- Performance data collection occurs through SNMP and is currently limited to IPv4. Support for performance data collection via IPv6 will be available in a future FlashSystem firmware release.
- Review the FlashSystem Code Recommendations.
