Abstract

Significant improvements were made to IBM Worklight V5.0.6 and V6.0 regarding the amount of time the user must wait when Worklight applications are started for the first time.

The performance improvements apply to both Android and iOS. In cases where the web resources are not encrypted (encryptWebResources flag is false which is the default), a change was made resulting in significant improvement on application startup time.

Maximum improvement is observed with the default settings of the testWebResourcesChecksum and encryptWebResources flags in the application-descriptor set to false. Setting the testWebResourcesChecksum flag to true will slightly reduce improvement. Setting the encryptWebResources flag to true will result in no improvement.
