PI73118 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
This ifix is necessary enhance the Intelligent Management Enabled WebSphere Plugin with the ability to function with routing rules.

All users of the Intelligent Management enabled WebSphere Plugin that desire to use routing rules

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Enhance the Intelligent Management enabled WebSphere Plugin with routing rule capabilities

RECOMMENDATION:
None

Prior to this fix the Intelligent Management for Web Servers feature of the Web Server Plug-ins for IBM WebSphere Application Server could not route to the same application in multiple
cells/collectives. This fix delivers a new capability to allow routing to the same application in multiple cells/collectives. Prior to this fix the Intelligent Management for Web Servers feature also could not specify exactly how to handle requests based on specific characteristics of the request. This fix delivers a new capability to use routing rules that examine request characteristics to route the request to specific
targets, or to reject or redirect the request.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The Intelligent Management for Web Servers feature of the Web Server Plug-ins for IBM WebSphere Application Server has been enhanced to route to the same application in multiple cells/collectives, and to route to a subset of available servers using routing rules. Please reference documentation provided in
the form of tech notes to understand how to leverage this new capability.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 9.0.0.3. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
