Abstract

This document helps you determine which images to download for the Q Replication technology in InfoSphere Data Replication.

Download Description

InfoSphere Data Replication has three different technologies. Click a different tab to see the downloadable parts for CDC Replication or SQL Replication.

Downloading the relevant eAssembly images from the Passport Advantage website

  1. Determine the database platform and operating system.
  2. In the tables below, find the assembly part numbers that you need.
  3. In the Download package table, follow the link to the Passport Advantage website.
  4. Sign in to download all of the images that you need.
  5. Unpack each of the parts onto your system.

 

Required: Download your replication engines

On Linux, UNIX, and Windows, the Q Replication engine is part of DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows. Choose one of these options:

  • If DB2 V11.5 or V12.1 are already installed on your system, you only need to activate the license for Q Replication (see 'Q Replication activation kit' below).
  • If you need to install DB2 V11.5 or V12.1, download the DB2 Server (11.5) or Db2 Server (12.1) for your operating system and use its installation program to add DB2 to your system.

Note: If you are replicating to federated targets, use the DB2 installation program to install the appropriate relational wrappers.

Required: Download the Q Replication activation kit

To activate the license for Q Replication, you must download the activation kit for your version. Follow the instructions in the readme that is included in the kit for installing the license.

The Replication Center and ASNCLP command-line program that are required for configuring Q Replication are part of the IBM Data Server Client.

IBM MQ is required for Q Replication. Choose the MQ server for your operating system. Q Replication also supports MQ client configurations.
